OurDream Review: Dreamcoins, Media & Privacy

OurDream is a web-accessible AI companion platform with realistic and anime characters, chat, image and video generation, voice, and voice calls. Its first-party record includes unusually detailed Dreamcoin usage figures, alongside important caveats about public-character media and access after subscription expiry.

What is OurDream?

OurDream documents multiple conversation models, persistent-memory claims, character customization, images, video, voice, and calls. Web access and installation to a mobile home screen are available in the current record. Native iOS and Android apps are documented as unavailable.

The service has an 18+ requirement and documents adult capability with restrictions. Availability does not establish media quality, memory continuity, or policy behavior in practice.

Subscription prices and allowances

The monthly subscription costs $19.99 and documents 1,000 Dreamcoins at the start plus 1,000 Dreamcoins per month. The annual plan costs $119.88 in total, advertised as a $9.99 monthly equivalent. It documents 2,000 Dreamcoins at the start and then 1,000 per month.

The annual equivalent is not a month-to-month price. Free material describes the first character and first chat as available without a credit card, but broader free limits are only partially documented.

Dreamcoin usage is detailed but not complete in dollars

Standard subscriber chat is documented at zero Dreamcoins per message. Free-user chat and Genius responses cost one Dreamcoin each. Image operations range from five Dreamcoins for an in-chat image to documented higher costs for image generation, enhancement, and editing.

Voice calls cost 50 Dreamcoins per minute. Standard video costs 100 Dreamcoins per five seconds; a long video is listed at up to 1,200 Dreamcoins per 60 seconds. Ultra-quality video, enhancement, and video audio have separate published costs.

These values make consumption more visible than on many platforms, but a sufficiently reliable complete price grid for additional Dreamcoin packs was not verified. Heavy-use cost therefore cannot be translated into a complete dollar estimate, and True Cost remains Partial.

Conversation and memory claims

OurDream documents multiple conversation models and persistent memory or continuity. The current evidence does not establish recall accuracy, model differences, contradiction handling, or how memory controls appear to a user.

A future Scope Test should compare the available conversation modes, repeat facts after time away, inspect corrections, and track whether Genius responses change quality enough to justify their Dreamcoin cost.

Images, video, voice and calls

The platform documents a broad media stack. Because many actions have distinct Dreamcoin prices, quality and consumption should be evaluated together. Generation speed, failed attempts, character consistency, voice naturalness, and call latency all remain untested.

The difference among standard, long, ultra-quality, enhanced, and audio-enabled video operations also needs direct inspection. Published unit costs alone do not show which options are available in every workflow or how often extra processing is needed.

Public-character media changes the privacy picture

For public characters, generated images or videos may be added to that character’s public content pack after metadata identifying the generating user is removed. Private and unlisted character generations are treated differently.

Private chats are described as not visible to other users or character creators. The privacy summary limits staff access to explicit support consent or legal requests, while third-party AI providers may process content needed for generation. The legal Privacy Policy also describes service analysis and AI or ML model training.

These points make character visibility a decision-relevant setting. De-identifying the generating user is not the same as guaranteeing that the generated media stays private.

Subscription expiry can affect media access

After a subscription expires, generated images and videos may become blurred or normally inaccessible until renewal. Dreamcoins may remain associated with the account while premium functionality stays restricted.

That is a material ownership and access caveat. The current record describes the behavior, but CompanionScope has not tested exactly which assets remain viewable, downloadable, or recoverable after expiry.

Age verification and adult capability

OurDream documents adult content with restrictions and an 18+ requirement. Where stronger verification is required, it uses Go.cam and says it receives an 18+ verification signal rather than the underlying identity document, selfie, or liveness material.

This review does not treat adult capability as unrestricted or assess output boundaries. The visible verification flow and channel-specific behavior remain future test items.

What remains unknown

The main gaps are:

• a reliable complete USD grid for Dreamcoin packs;
• broader free-account limits;
• real conversation-model and memory performance;
• media quality, retries, and actual Dreamcoin consumption;
• voice-call quality and stability;
• exact post-expiry access to generated assets;
• public, private, and unlisted media behavior in the live product; and
• privacy and deletion controls.

Research Review conclusion

OurDream provides useful subscription totals and detailed Dreamcoin usage figures. It also documents consequential product behavior around public-character media and access after subscription expiry.

Those facts improve decision visibility but do not establish overall value or quality. Additional Dreamcoin pricing, media performance, memory, privacy controls, and expiry behavior require direct testing before CompanionScope can publish a Scope Score or recommendation.
